Flint awards $1M opioid grants to 17 groups
Flint is distributing $1 million in opioid settlement funds to 17 local organizations, with grants ranging from $20,000 to $150,000. The Greater Flint Health Coalition managed the application and selection process, choosing recipients from more than 40 applicants. The funded initiatives address community needs including youth services, financial stability, and support for individuals, families, and neighborhoods. City officials say they will continue working with the coalition and grant recipients to help the programs succeed.
