Florence Man Charged With Murder After Stabbing
Dominique Gerod Brockington has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime in the fatal stabbing of 29-year-old Anthony Ray in Florence, South Carolina. Police say the two men got into an altercation early Saturday outside an apartment complex on Harrell Street, where Ray was found and pronounced dead. Brockington was also injured and received medical treatment before being taken into custody; he remains at the Florence County Detention Center and was additionally served with an existing domestic-violence warrant. Ray’s close friend, who shares a daughter with him, described him as kind and loving and said she is seeking justice for his family.
