Florida State Edges LSU 89-87 in Exhibition

Florida State beat LSU 89-87 in its final preseason exhibition, surviving a late rally after building a lead as large as 14 points. Shon Abaev led the Seminoles with 26 points, while Kameron Taylor, Sebastian Rancik and Elisee Assui also scored in double figures. LSU cut the deficit and had a chance to tie or win in the final seconds, but Anthony Robinson II stole the inbounds pass after LSU made one of two free throws following a foul. Florida State coach Luke Loucks welcomed the tense finish as a chance to teach his team about late-game defense and decision-making.
