Florida State's 3-4 Start Spotlights Standouts, Struggles
Florida State’s 2026 season has been inconsistent, with the Seminoles showing flashes of strength while struggling to sustain performance, particularly on defense. Through seven games, PFF grades highlighted defensive standouts including Ashlynd Barker and transfer edge Rylan Kennedy, while Kevin Wynn has earned a larger role on the defensive interior as the team looks to improve its run defense. On offense, Ousmane Kromah and Ashton Daniels have led a backfield-heavy attack, with linemen and receivers including Otto, Robinson and Danzy also among the team’s highest-graded regulars. At 3-4 and 1-3 in ACC play during the second bye week, Florida State is still seeking consistency, and coverage has focused both on players who have exceeded expectations and on younger homegrown contributors who could use more playing time.
