Florida Teacher Arrested in Student Voyeurism Case

A fifth-grade teacher at Ocala Christian Academy in Ocala, Florida, was arrested on a digital voyeurism charge after police investigated allegations that he photographed beneath a student’s skirt during recess. Police said a witness saw Joel Gould hold his phone beneath the student’s skirt while she stood on a picnic table; the student later reported that the phone touched her leg. Investigators said Gould admitted taking the photographs. The charge was upgraded from a third-degree to a second-degree felony because Gould was in a position of authority over the student. Detectives said there may be additional victims and asked anyone with information to contact the Ocala Police Department.
