Florida WR Singleton Highly Questionable Against Campbell

Florida wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. is highly questionable for Saturday’s game against Campbell after suffering an ankle injury during the Gators’ season-opening 66-21 win over Florida Atlantic. Singleton was injured while blocking on Vernell Brown III’s 49-yard touchdown play, left after one drive and finished without a target, ending his streak of 37 consecutive games with a reception. Transfer defensive lineman Emmanuel Oyebadejo is also highly questionable with an ankle injury, and coach Jon Sumrall said the team may not know either player’s availability until later in the week. Running back Evan Pryor, who played seven snaps before leaving with a hip issue, was also limited against FAU, though Florida received strong performances from Jadan Baugh and other reserve backs. If Singleton cannot play, Bailey Stockton and TJ Abrams Jr. are expected to take on larger roles in the receiving corps.
