Fluence Cuts 2026 Outlook as Houston Delays Mount

Fluence Energy sharply cut its fiscal 2026 outlook, now projecting revenue of about $2.4 billion and an adjusted EBITDA loss of roughly $200 million, compared with prior revenue guidance of $2.9 billion to $3.1 billion and near-breakeven profitability. The company attributed the downgrade primarily to persistent delays ramping its contract-manufacturing facility in Houston, which have constrained deliveries, increased operating inefficiencies and disrupted supply-chain planning. Management said the contractor has taken corrective action and daily production has improved, while Fluence is restructuring its manufacturing and supply-chain operations. Despite the problems, demand remains strong, with the company reporting a record backlog and substantial quarterly orders, and it expects its global operations and domestic manufacturing footprint to support longer-term growth. Fluence also appointed former AES executive Bernerd Da Santos as chief operating officer to oversee supply chain, manufacturing and enterprise operations, as the company seeks to improve execution and reach neutral or positive operating cash flow in fiscal 2027.
