Campaspe Shire Council is developing a 15-to-20-year structure plan to guide Rochester’s growth, housing options and flood resilience. Potential priorities include identifying areas for housing, improving footpaths and connections between the town center, river and neighborhoods, supporting local jobs, and assessing infrastructure and service capacity while protecting agricultural land. Council says the ideas remain preliminary; a draft plan will be released for community consultation after further investigation.
