Former Monaghan footballer Stephen Gollogly dies
Monaghan GAA announced the death of Stephen Gollogly, a Carrickmacross Emmets clubman who made 133 competitive appearances for Monaghan from 2004 to 2017. He helped Monaghan to Ulster titles in 2013 and 2015 and won League medals in Division 2 (twice) and Division 3. Off the field he was described as a gentleman and loyal clubman whose dedication, sportsmanship, and quiet leadership defined his career. He retired from inter-county football in 2018 after 14 years at senior level and also worked as a tactical analyst and youth coach.
