Four-Day Texas Rose Festival Opens in Tyler
Tyler’s 93rd Texas Rose Festival opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Rose Garden, launching a weekend of events themed “Celebration Through the Seasons” and featuring displays accented with locally grown roses. Queen Claire Ann Malone, a Tyler native and the seventh woman in her family to hold the title, was crowned at a Friday ceremony; Brynn Ballard served as princess. Festival traditions were also celebrated at an invitation-only luncheon honoring guests, the queen’s family, festival leaders and the event’s history.
