Free e-bike offers span safety, voting, community support

Los Angeles General Medical Center launched a community e-bike safety program, offering 100 free helmets, fitting guidance and bilingual materials amid concerns about serious crash injuries. In Grand Rapids, micromobility operator Veo is offering $10 in ride credits on Election Day to help residents reach polling places. In Bend, two businesses are providing people affected by the Silver Rail shooting with a free day of e-bike rentals through Dec. 31, 2026; reservations are required and rentals are subject to availability.
