Fresno State routs Sacramento State 49-3

Fresno State overcame a scoreless first quarter by erupting for 32 points in the second and defeating Sacramento State 49-3. Quarterback Jayden Mandal completed 23 of 26 passes for 316 yards and accounted for three touchdowns, while running back Bryson Donelson rushed for 102 yards and three scores. Fresno State outgained the Hornets 542-262, with Ezekiel Avit catching a 73-yard touchdown and finishing with 103 receiving yards. Sacramento State quarterback Jackson Sharman passed for 150 yards, but the Hornets struggled offensively after their previous 52-0 win over Mississippi Valley State. The game was briefly interrupted when Valley Children’s Stadium lights went out three times, each lasting only seconds.
