FSU Opens $137.5M Wilton Simpson Health Building
Florida State University opened its 137,000-square-foot FSU Health Research and Collaboration Building in Tallahassee and named it for Wilton Simpson, the state agriculture commissioner who championed funding for the project as Florida Senate president. The facility, on the Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare campus, is intended to bring patient care, medical research and health-professional training together. It includes a family residency practice, student simulation space and research laboratories; university leaders say it will expand local access to care and support FSU’s growing academic health system.
