Fundraising Dinners Planned Across Four Communities
Several community organizations are using chicken dinners to raise money for local causes. Ogeechee Area Hospice will sell $10 lunches in Statesboro on Nov. 6, 2025, with proceeds benefiting patients and families across its service area. In Erie, Pennsylvania, a Nov. 14 drive-through barbecue dinner hosted by Erie Cemetery Association and Bentley Tree Care will help fund recovery from a windstorm that damaged hundreds of cemetery trees; dinners cost $25 and require presale tickets. The Edwards County Heritage Preservation Society will hold a fried-chicken dinner in Albion on Nov. 7, with suggested donations of $15 for adults and $8 for children, to support preservation of local heritage.
