Gaines Plan 15,000-Square-Foot Waco Mansion Renovation

Chip and Joanna Gaines will return with the six-episode Magnolia Network and HGTV series “Fixer Upper: Chip Bought a Mansion,” following their effort to renovate a 15,000-square-foot estate in Waco, Texas. Chip bought the property three years ago as an investment but discovered it needed far more work than expected, prompting Joanna to join the project. The couple will have three months to tackle the renovation, navigating budget pressures and other setbacks as they prepare the home for sale. Joanna described it as their biggest fixer yet and said working side by side was a highlight; the series is scheduled to premiere Dec. 27.
