Garmin Plans $1.05 Quarterly Dividend

Garmin is expanding its automotive and marine ecosystem with redesigned Drive GPS devices, SmartDrive systems, GMI 40 marine equipment and JL Audio products, aiming to deepen integration across displays, sensors, navigation and audio. The launches could support Marine and automotive growth, but investors remain focused on whether new products can offset softer demand in some segments while rising research, selling and administrative costs and currency pressures weigh on margins. Garmin also declared a quarterly dividend of $1.05 per share payable Sept. 25, continuing a long record of annual increases; analysts generally view the payout as supported by earnings. Wall Street sentiment is broadly positive but not unanimous, with the stock carrying a “Moderate Buy” consensus and an average price target of about $310, alongside targets ranging from $289 to $370. Institutional ownership remains high, and the Arizona State Retirement System increased its Garmin stake by 5.6% in the second quarter.
