Coco Gauff Named Player-Owner of Florida Flamingos in Revived League

Two-time Grand Slam champion Coco Gauff will be a player-owner of the Florida Flamingos Racquet Club as World Team Tennis returns in December. Raised in Delray Beach, Florida, Gauff is scheduled to play the team’s home matches Dec. 14 and 15 at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise. The relaunched league will also feature teams based in New York and Toronto, and will use a mixed-gender format with four singles sets followed by a mixed-doubles super tiebreaker. Gauff said she is excited to compete at home and introduce fans to team tennis.
