GBI assists multiple death investigations across Georgia

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating the deaths of Mykyle Augustus Barton, 37, and Lawrence Zion Pritchard, 33, in Richmond Hill. Authorities say Barton was found shot at a home early Oct. 17, and a resident identified Pritchard as the shooter. Pritchard fled in an SUV, leading officers on a pursuit, and was later found dead in the vehicle from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Both deaths are under investigation, and autopsies are planned.
