GE Vernova agrees to buy Trench for $9 billion and raises revenue forecast
GE Vernova agreed to acquire high-voltage grid equipment maker Trench Group from Triton Partners for $9 billion, expanding its manufacturing capacity, geographic reach and portfolio of components used in power transmission. The company says the deal will help meet rising demand for grid modernization and electricity, including from data centers and industrial electrification; it expects to fund the purchase equally with cash and debt and complete it in late 2027. Separately, GE Vernova raised its full-year revenue forecast to $46.5 billion to $47.5 billion.
