General Dynamics Q3 Revenue Hits Record $14.6B

General Dynamics reported third-quarter revenue of about $14.6 billion, up 12.9% from a year earlier, and net income of $1.23 billion; earnings per share of $4.49 beat analysts’ expectations. Growth was broad-based, with Marine Systems revenue rising 21% on shipbuilding strength and Gulfstream also contributing to higher profit. The company reported a record $220.3 billion backlog, reflecting strong orders that included submarine programs. Results were not uniformly stronger: Combat Systems operating earnings declined, Technologies’ operating margin fell, and operating cash flow was lower than a year earlier.
