Georgia Teen Charged Over Alleged Self-Written School Threat
A 17-year-old Southeast Whitfield High School student, Madison Spring, was arrested after investigators determined she wrote a restroom message suggesting a shooting would occur at the school—the threat she had reported to officials. She was charged with terroristic threats and acts, reportedly as an adult felony, and was being held without bond. Officials said the threat was not considered credible at the time; police increased their presence on campus as a precaution, and the school day continued without disruption.
