Gevo Commissions Upgrades, Expects 10%-15% Output Increase

Gevo said it commissioned a beer degassing system ahead of schedule at its North Dakota facility, enabling greater carbon dioxide recovery and sequestration, expanded distillation capacity, and a lower carbon-intensity score. The upgrade is part of a debottlenecking program expected to increase facility output and returns by 10% to 15% as the plant advances toward a targeted annual capacity of about 75 million gallons. The program also includes a third liquefaction tank and fifth fermenter, with both projects expected to be operational by the end of 2026. Gevo also completed a steam turbine project in August that optimizes steam use and reduces reliance on purchased electricity.
