Ghana Standards Authority Revenue Rises 18%

The Ghana Standards Authority reported an 18% increase in 2025 revenue to more than GH¢228 million, attributing the improvement to disciplined resource management and stronger quality-assurance activities. It verified 242,764 weights and measuring instruments, calibrated 26,091 industrial instruments, and tested 28,375 product samples, exceeding several targets and supporting consumer protection. The authority also issued 1,259 certificates to local manufacturers, while the surplus transferred to its accumulated fund increased fivefold. However, it completed only 40% of the 426 standards targeted for development and identified that shortfall as a priority requiring greater stakeholder support.
