Five girls flag football teams won Sac-Joaquin Section championships, closing the season at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento. In the CIF Southern Section Division 4 final, Valley Christian won 33-18 over West Ranch to claim a title in the program’s inaugural season, powered by four touchdown passes from quarterback Molly Douglas and a late defensive touchdown. Bakersfield Christian also finished its season with a championship, as players and coaches urged more Kern County schools to add the sport and expand local competition. University players earned Pacific Coast League honors, led by senior Arden Marchiorlatti, named league MVP and Defensive Player of the Year, while the Trojans finished 11-10 overall.
