Girls Golf State Meets Span Three States
Several western Kansas girls golf teams and individuals qualified for state after regional tournaments, including Buffalo in Class 6A, Ulysses and Hugoton golfers in Class 4A, and Syracuse and Cimarron in Class 3-2-1A. At Wisconsin’s 2026 WIAA state tournament, Seymour opened third in Division 2, four strokes behind Edgewood, while Bay Port was tied for third in Division 1; individual leaders and other strong performances included Aubrey Molaison’s 70 and 75s from Bay Port’s Madelyn Gicius and De Pere’s Emma Hudson. Seymour entered the tournament seeking to improve on its fourth-place finishes in 2024 and 2025, and the team’s opening-round position left it within reach of second place. In Nebraska, Marian was described as a strong favorite in the team race after a record 295 and several dominant performances, while Lincoln East’s Tasha Kolbas and Lincoln Southwest’s Naryn Kim were identified as leading individual contenders.
