Greenville Holiday Show Opens With 180 Vendors

The 25th annual Down East Holiday Show is taking place Nov. 5–8 at the Greenville Convention Center, featuring more than 180 small businesses selling holiday gifts, decorations, food and other items. The event raises money for Pitt Community College Foundation scholarships and educational programs, and organizers say ticket sales are up from last year despite financial challenges facing some vendors. The show began with an adults-only shopping night on Thursday; general admission is $10 per day Friday through Sunday, with children 10 and younger admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. Nearly 2,000 people attended the opening event.
