Greenville sergeant returns to duty after crash that killed wife and parents

Greenville Police Sgt. Diana Munoz has returned to duty months after surviving a head-on crash in Spartanburg County that killed her wife, Sgt. Ashley Muñoz, her parents and two occupants of the other vehicle. Diana suffered severe injuries and underwent extensive rehabilitation, including relearning to walk. Ashley was also a Greenville police officer, and the couple had two young children. Her return to public service has been recognized by colleagues and the Greenville community as a major milestone in her recovery, while the crash remains under investigation.
