GSK Awaits Decision on Lung Cancer Drug That Could Be Sixth Approval
GSK’s renewed push into oncology is beginning to produce results, with promising data in ovarian and lung cancers presented at the European Society for Medical Oncology meeting and a drug showing delayed progression in a difficult-to-treat bone cancer. The company also reported a new approval for an existing cancer medicine and early results from a global study of a next-generation chemotherapy. GSK is awaiting a potential approval in the coming weeks for another lung cancer treatment, which could become its sixth approved oncology drug.
