Guizhou Team Collects Millions of Data Points for Trail Runners

A team of young professionals in China’s Guizhou province is applying field research, wearable-device data and sports analytics to improve trail-running training across the region’s rugged karst terrain. The project has served more than 100 runners and 20 teams, collected over 3 million training data points and generated more than 200 analysis reports. The team says athletes using its tailored training plans have earned 19 competition medals and achieved more than 10 personal bests over two years, with some reporting performance gains exceeding 110%.
