Haley Stevens endorses Mike Rogers amid Michigan Democratic feud
Rep. Haley Stevens endorsed Republican Mike Rogers for U.S. Senate on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, appearing with him at Perfecting Church in Detroit and posting a video on X. Stevens said nominee Abdul El-Sayed told her she was no longer welcome in his campaign. "And he's right, and that's why I am endorsing Mike Rogers for the United States Senate today," she said. She said, "I do not stand with Hasan Piker, who gets trafficked on our college campuses." Rogers said he was honored and that this was more a statement about standing together against hate. Voters choose Tuesday. Stevens lost the Aug. 4, 2026 primary to El-Sayed and had endorsed him afterward. After she demanded he condemn an outside ad linking U.S. support for Israel to grocery prices and remove a Tucker Carlson ad, his campaign asked her off events; he rejected the outside ad Saturday. A Clyburn joint appearance collapsed when Debbie Dingell asked Stevens not to attend. The Rogers visit was arranged last-minute after they spoke that morning. Fiancé Jason Turkish already backed Rogers over El-Sayed's Israel rhetoric. A person close to El-Sayed said the endorsement is "good for Abdul" and shows he is the candidate of change.
