Halloween Celebrations Span US Communities
Communities are offering family-friendly Halloween activities ranging from themed boat trips to downtown celebrations and outdoor events. In Coeur d’Alene, the Haunted Harbors cruise runs nightly through Oct. 31, with 40-minute rides, costumes encouraged, and tickets costing $7.50 per person; Coronado also has private Halloween-themed canal cruises, with reservations required. Lake Orion’s annual Halloween Extravaganza brought families downtown for trick-or-treating, cider and donuts, music, and a costume parade. In Ellsworth, a free Pumpkin Hike lights up the Riverwalk with community-carved jack-o’-lanterns, while Wilmington’s Cape Fear River Watch is hosting a Halloween-themed creek walk and a guided kayak tour focused on local wildlife and environmental concerns.
