Rescues and Groomers Host Halloween Events for Costumed Dogs

Halloween celebrations are putting pets in the spotlight, from costume contests and trick-or-treat events to themed photo shoots. In Mansfield, On All Pawz Pet Supplies is offering a complimentary Halloween photo shoot with October grooming appointments. Raskel’s Rescue in Hardeeville will mark its third anniversary on Oct. 31 with a free Halloween celebration, including a costume contest, adoptable animals and the opening of a memorial garden. The Humane Society of Lake City has dressed adoptable dogs in festive costumes to draw attention to their search for permanent homes. A Warren dog-training business also hosted a trunk-or-treat and costume contest, while another roundup showcased pets dressed for Halloween.
