Halloween Events Bring Crowds to Airports
Halloween events at airports are drawing families with aviation-themed activities, trick-or-treating and entertainment. Sacramento Executive Airport’s first Halloween Fly-In, hosted by Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1714 and sponsored by Flight Level 510, was planned as a free community event where children could explore decorated planes and enjoy treats; organizers reported more than 2,000 attendees by its halfway point, far exceeding expectations. Tracy Municipal Airport also held a Candy Crawl featuring city departments, family games, photo stations and food vendors. In St. Cloud, an airport Halloween gathering is scheduled to offer a scavenger hunt, aircraft exploration and a visit from an Allegiant Airbus. At Manston Airport in England, a Halloween festival is set to feature monster trucks, stunt shows, rides and two fireworks displays.
