Halloween, Folklore Events Planned Across Regions
El Paso families can mark Halloween with the KLAQ parade, free recreation-center carnivals, Boo at the Zoo and Western Playland’s scare zones. In Mérida, the 10th annual Rodada de las Ánimas brings costumed cyclists to the General Cemetery for a ride honoring deceased riders and celebrating Day of the Dead traditions. On Fuerteventura, a folklore gathering highlights the Ranchos de Ánimas, a musical tradition dedicated to the dead and considered an important part of the island’s heritage.
