Harbor Health agrees to acquire 27 Houston clinics

Harbor Health has agreed to acquire 27 Village Medical clinics in Greater Houston, bringing its integrated care-and-insurance model into the state’s largest city. The deal, whose financial terms were not disclosed, is expected to close by the end of 2026; afterward, Harbor expects to operate nearly 70 clinics across five Texas markets and more than double its statewide physician and advanced-practice-provider workforce. The clinics will join Harbor’s insurance network while retaining the Village Medical name, and existing patients are expected to keep their current care arrangements and insurance acceptance. Harbor plans to make the clinics a primary care option for its Houston insurance members, with plans featuring no deductibles and no-cost specialist care when members are referred by Harbor clinicians. The acquisition follows Harbor’s purchase of 32 VillageMD clinics in 2025 as VillageMD continues selling off practices.
