Harrisburg Husband Charged With Pediatrician’s Murder, Arson

Jonathan Gatto was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, arson and related offenses in the death of his wife, Julia Pederson, a 41-year-old Harrisburg pediatrician. Investigators allege he strangled Pederson and intentionally set a small fire in their home to cover up her death; court documents say testing showed she was dead before the fire began. Their 7-year-old daughter was in the home, and Gatto told police the couple had been planning to separate. The charges remain allegations.
