Hawaiian Airlines begins construction on 13,000-square-foot Honolulu lounge
Hawaiian Airlines has begun construction on a nearly 13,000-square-foot premium lounge at the entrance to Honolulu airport’s Mauka Concourse, with an opening planned for the first half of 2028. Designed for about 200 guests, it is expected to feature locally inspired food and drinks, a full-service bar, private workspaces and artwork by Hawaiʻi artists. The lounge will complement Hawaiian’s existing Plumeria Lounge and six Premier Clubs and is part of Alaska Air Group’s investment in improving travel to, from and within Hawaiʻi. Hawaiian has not yet clarified who will qualify for access, a question that may matter during busy periods given the lounge’s limited capacity.
