Honolulu Examiner Rules Flight Attendant Death Suicide
Honolulu’s medical examiner ruled that Southwest flight attendant Jenny Lupton, 50, died by suicide from multiple injuries after falling from the 24th floor of the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki during a work layover on Aug. 20. Her family had questioned the circumstances and sought an investigation, saying they did not believe she intended to harm herself. Honolulu police say their investigation remains open and have reviewed evidence, surveillance footage and interviews; officials have released no further details.
