Integris Signs Agreement to Join Risant as Third Health System
Oklahoma City-based INTEGRIS Health, the state’s largest nonprofit health system, has signed an agreement to join Risant Health, a nonprofit created by Kaiser Permanente; the deal remains subject to regulatory approval. INTEGRIS would become Risant’s third health system, alongside Geisinger and Cone Health, as Risant seeks to expand value-based care focused on quality and health outcomes. INTEGRIS says it will retain its name, brand, leadership, medical staff and Oklahoma City headquarters, continue working with other health plans and providers, and does not expect layoffs. CEO Timothy Pehrson said the partnership would bring resources and investment in hospitals, clinics, technology and clinical capabilities that INTEGRIS could not develop at the same scale or speed on its own. Officials say the agreement is intended to improve care and affordability.
