1,750+ Sites Worldwide Set to Light Teal for Alzheimer’s
More than 1,750 landmarks and other sites across all 50 states and 17 countries will light up teal Nov. 2 for the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s annual Light the World in Teal campaign, which aims to raise awareness and show support for people with Alzheimer’s and their families. Participating sites include landmarks in Buffalo, the Quad Cities and Iowa, Houston, and Montgomery, Alabama; Houston City Hall is scheduled to light up Nov. 3. More than 7 million Americans live with Alzheimer’s, and the number is projected to double by 2060. People can join by wearing teal, displaying it at home or work, or sharing Alzheimer’s information on social media.
