Valley Children’s Hospital Reopens After Threat Call

Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera County was placed on lockdown after receiving a threatening phone call, prompting sheriff’s deputies and hospital staff to investigate. Authorities said there was no active attack. The hospital diverted incoming patients and restricted access to the property as a precaution. The lockdown was later lifted, entrances reopened, and normal operations resumed. The incident followed another lockdown at the hospital on Oct. 16.
