Forbes’ 2027 America’s Dream Employers ranking placed Johns Hopkins Medicine at No. 27 nationally and the University of Maryland Medical System at No. 29; the list was based on surveys of college students and employees and included more than 100 health care organizations. Separately, Riverside Health was named to Forbes’ 2026 Best-In-State Employers list for Virginia for the eighth consecutive year, while Michigan’s MyMichigan Health earned the recognition for a fifth straight year. Mary Washington Healthcare also appeared on the 2026 Virginia list. The Best-In-State rankings drew on more than 2 million assessments from employees and other members of their communities, and the recognized systems highlighted investments in professional development, education and workplace culture.
