Highlander Executes $330M Debt Mandate for Peru Project
Highlander Silver has signed a mandate with Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking for a fully underwritten US$330 million, seven-year senior secured project-finance facility to develop and construct its Corani Silver Project in Peru. The financing would include a company-provided cost-overrun facility of up to US$100 million, while final terms remain subject to credit approvals, definitive documentation and ongoing technical, financial, environmental and social due diligence; closing is targeted for the first quarter of 2027. Highlander reported about US$100 million in cash and no debt as of June 30 and has retained 100% of Corani’s offtake rights, preserving flexibility to market its future production. The financing is a major step toward funding construction of the fully permitted project, with analysts estimating total capital needs of roughly US$450 million to US$500 million and construction potentially beginning in 2027.
