Hodgkinson wins Athlos 800m in black hooded Nike speedsuit
Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson ended her 2026 season with a dominant 800-meter victory at the all-women Athlos London meet, winning in 1:56.40 at StoneX Stadium. She pulled away over the final 200 meters to beat Switzerland’s Valentina Rosamilia by more than two seconds and earned a $65,000 prize. Hodgkinson competed despite recently disclosed hamstring problems, including a tear and an unusual split tendon, but said she felt strong during the race. She drew significant attention by debuting a black, hooded Nike speedsuit designed to reduce air resistance, embracing Athlos’s mix of athletics, fashion and entertainment. The event, created by Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, marked Athlos’s first competition outside the United States and featured enhanced prize money, athlete-focused presentation and performances from other leading sprinters.
