Midwest towns revive holiday tree festivals for charity fundraisers
Several communities are bringing back or continuing their Festival of Trees events this holiday season. In Atlantic, Iowa, the Dec. 3–6 festival will feature community-decorated displays, with donations and raffle proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society. Winchester’s Youth Development Center is reviving its popular fundraiser, which had not been held since 2018, as the nonprofit settles into its downtown home. Davenport’s 41st QC Arts Festival of Trees runs Nov. 21–29 at the RiverCenter, with holiday displays, family activities and a parade. Port Huron’s Dec. 4–5 festival moves to The Bank and will raise money for cardiac care at McLaren Port Huron, with a ticketed gala and free family activities.
