Hong Kong to Host 21-Economy APEC Finance Talks

Hong Kong will host the APEC Finance Ministers’ Meeting on October 20–21, bringing together finance ministers or representatives from 21 economies. China’s Finance Minister Lan Foan is expected to lead the delegation and chair the meeting. Discussions will focus on fiscal policies that support households, financing digital infrastructure, locally adapted inclusive finance, and cooperation among young financial professionals, with outcomes including statements and research documents expected. Taiwan Finance Minister Chuang Tsui-yun is also reported to plan to attend. The meeting is intended to advance regional economic and financial cooperation ahead of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Shenzhen in November.
