Houthis claim strikes on Saudi oil pipeline and airports; no damage confirmed
Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi rebels say they attacked Saudi airports and oil infrastructure, including the East-West Pipeline, pumping stations, and facilities in Yanbu and Rabigh. Saudi Arabia and the Saudi-led coalition reported intercepting missiles and drones, but Saudi authorities have not confirmed damage to the pipeline or oil sites. The claims come amid intensifying exchanges of strikes, with both sides accusing the other of attacks and civilian casualties in Yemen. The pipeline is a crucial route for moving Saudi crude to Red Sea export terminals while shipping through the Strait of Hormuz is disrupted, raising concerns that damage could further threaten oil supplies and push prices higher.
