Hundreds of Vendors Expected at Regional Holiday Markets
Communities in several states are promoting holiday markets that connect shoppers with local artists, makers and small businesses. North Bend’s Artists Sunday market will feature more than 100 artisans, live music and family activities, while Ferdinand’s German-inspired Christkindlmarkt plans more than 225 vendor booths, traditional entertainment and monastery tours. Other offerings include a free arts and crafts sale with more than 75 vendors in Mentor, an indoor handmade-goods market in Mill Valley, and a new seasonal market in downtown Duluth showcasing regional makers and food producers. Together, the events offer alternatives to conventional holiday shopping and opportunities to support local creative communities.
