Huntsville Hospital Breaks Ground on $30M ER

Huntsville Hospital Health System has broken ground on a $30 million freestanding emergency department on Memorial Parkway in North Huntsville, bringing 24-hour emergency care closer to residents of North Huntsville, Meridianville and Hazel Green. The facility is expected to provide emergency physicians, diagnostic imaging and laboratory services and could treat about 40,000 patients annually. Officials say it will expand access in a fast-growing area, shorten travel times during emergencies and ease pressure on the downtown hospital’s emergency department. The system expects the new site to begin treating patients before Christmas 2027.
