Hurco Returns to Profit as Q3 Orders Jump 25%
Hurco Companies reported third-quarter fiscal 2026 net income of $2.3 million, or $0.35 per diluted share, reversing a $3.7 million loss in the year-earlier quarter. Sales and service fees increased 3% to $47.3 million, while gross margin expanded to 28% from 20%, aided by higher volumes, product mix, cost controls and tariff refunds. Quarterly orders rose 25% to $51.4 million, and orders for the first nine months increased 24%, with growth in the Americas and Asia Pacific offsetting weaker European activity. For the first nine months, sales rose 4% to $137.8 million and the net loss narrowed to $3.5 million from $12.1 million a year earlier. Hurco ended the period with $52.1 million in cash and no debt and plans to unveil next-generation control technology at the IMTS trade show in Chicago.
